Microsoft has today released Internet Explorer 7 for download at www.microsoft.com.
This is a big deal for social media as IE7 has support for RSS feed subscription and reading.
It’s another step for RSS from being a slightly awkward and technical concept for everyday web users to being as common as email or bookmarks in internet browser packages.
The effect will be to increase the networking element of social media, as ever increasing numbers of people will be tracking feeds, increasing the communication networks that form within social media users.
