## Coming to Belfast in September

In September I’m delighted to be heading to Northern Ireland for the first time to speak at a conference about public sector social media.

It’s taking place on Wednesday, 23 September at The Odyssey Complex in Belfast.

I’ll be doing a new presentation focussing on “_Projecting and protecting your organisation’s reputation and message online_“, covering topics including

-   What are the risks involved in real time, online engagement and how to manage them
-   Establishing protocols for social media use for brand communication to your members, executive team and staff
-   Using online tools to find out valuable insights into your customers/ audiences
-   Measuring the impact of your online communications activities

Other speakers on the day will include Niall McKeown ([Ion Online Marketing](http://www.ionom.com/)), Alex Butler ([COI](http://www.coi.gov.uk/)) and Gareth Dunlop ([Tibus](http://www.tibus.com/)).

I’m particularly looking forward to this, partly because I’ve never been to Belfast before, but also because I’ve not met or heard the other speakers before and am sure I’ll learn a lot from them as well as meeting delegates.
