Conferences next week in Newcastle

It’s been a pretty busy week and a bit, so no new posts from me on the blog and a bit quiet on Twitter too, but looking ahead to next week I’m heading up to Newcastle to talk at a couple of conferences on Tuesday, 7 July.
First up I’m at the PSFBuzz event (also known as the Public Sector Forums event “Effective Social Networking & Web 2.0 Strategies for Local Authorities“) – talking about why I think the advent of web 2.0 is such a big deal for local government communicators.
Then I’m jumping in a taxi over to the CIPR North East region’s social media conference where I’ll be talking more generally about social media in public sector communications.
I’m really excited as it’s a couple of years since I’ve been in Newcastle and the speaker line-ups for both events are really good, so it’ll be a great opportunity to meet speakers and delegates alike.
More information and booking details here for the PSF event and here for the CIPR event.
Leave me a comment if you’re going to either conference – while it’ll be a bit of a whistlestop tour as I need to be back in Kent by the evening, I’ll be at the PSF for the morning coffee break and at the CIPR event for the lunch break, so will be good to meet then!
