# More interesting stuff on the web

## More interesting stuff on the web

Here’s some more interesting content I’ve found on the web recently:

**[Social Networking Grows 93%; Communication Becomes Entertainment](http://www.marketingcharts.com/interactive/social-networking-grows-93-communication-becomes-entertainment-8576/?utm_campaign=newsletter&utm_source=mc&utm_medium=textlink)**
Social networking among US broadband users has grown an impressive 93% since 2006, and has increased the amount of time people spend communicating online 18%, to 32% of total online time, according to a new report from Netpop Research, LLC that delves into social networking trends and habits.

**[Younger US Demos 12% Less Likely to Tweet](http://www.marketingcharts.com/interactive/younger-us-demos-12-less-likely-to-tweet-8679/?utm_campaign=newsletter&utm_source=mc&utm_medium=textlink)**
The majority of Twitter users worldwide are age 35 or older, and young adults ages 18-24 make up only 10.6% of the Twitter population in the US and are less likely than the average user to Tweet, according to an analysis of February data by comScore blogger Sarah Radwanick.

**[Marketers’ Top Social Media: Twitter, blogs, LinkedIn, Facebook](http://www.marketingcharts.com/interactive/marketers-top-social-media-twitter-blogs-linkedin-facebook-8692/?utm_campaign=newsletter&utm_source=mc&utm_medium=textlink)**
An overwhelming majority (88%) of marketers in a recent survey say they are now using some form of social media to market their business, though 72% of those using it say they have only been at it a few months or less, according to a social media study by Michael Stelzner, sponsored by the upcoming Social Media Success Summit 2009.

**[Fast-Growing Facebook #1 in Most of Europe](http://www.marketingcharts.com/interactive/fast-growing-facebook-tops-in-most-of-europe-8725/?utm_campaign=newsletter&utm_source=mc&utm_medium=textlink)**
Facebook logged 275 million global visitors in February 2009 and has catapulted to the #6-ranked online property worldwide, a 75% increase over the same period last year, according to data from comScore’s World Metrix service.

**[Twitter mobile directions — NevilleHobson.com](http://www.nevillehobson.com/2009/03/02/twitter-mobile-directions/)**
Some useful statistics from HubSpot via Neville.

**[comScore: The growing appeal of social networks in Europe](http://www.nevillehobson.com/2009/02/17/comscore-the-growing-appeal-of-social-networks-in-europe/)**
Interesting research and analysis by Neville Hobson.
