Simon Wakeman - marketing, public relations and digital communications

I wanted to turn an expensive print publication into an inexpensive, versatile online publication…I’d noted Simon Wakeman’s work in turning WordPress blogging software into full content management websites and asked if he could help with our magazine…his work is excellent. Richard Bailey, Behind the Spin

Simon was always ultra-professional with an excellent knowledge of his field, and worked to ensure that his projects were delivered on time and on standard. His enthusiasm and pleasant personality make him a pleasure to work with. Jules Kirk, Egg

Simon has worked for our company on several occasions over many years. He has constantly delivered the desired outcomes, on time and to budget. Nick Bentley, Ether-Ray

Very capable manager with great attention to detail. Great fun to work with too. Damon Reynolds

CIPR Diploma - research questionnaire

Thanks for visiting my site.

My name is Simon Wakeman and I’m currently Marketing and PR Manager at Medway Council in Kent. I’m also an active marketing and public relations blogger - you can read my blog here.

I’m studying for a Chartered Institute of Public Relations diploma in PR. The final part of the diploma is a research project looking into a particular area of public relations.

My research title is:

“What is the role of social media in local government communications?”

As part of my research I’m looking for communicators working in UK local government who are willing to help by completing a five-minute online survey about social media in local government.

I’d be very grateful if you would complete my survey - click on the link below:
http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=ExeU7lSxDc5Xb_2fdUqcyREw_3d_3d
(the survey closes at midnight on Saturday, 24 May 2008)

SURVEY HAS NOW CLOSED - THANK YOU FOR YOUR INTEREST

I’m happy to share my research findings with anyone that completes the survey. I’m hoping the research report will provide useful and actionable insights into how local government can better use social media to help communicate with residents and other publics.

If you’d like more information please do drop me a line.
