GAP 60% discount voucher
Thursday, November 22nd, 2007 at 11:41 am
Retailer GAP looks like it’s following Threshers’ example from last year, and is circulating a fairly deep price discount voucher by email and the usual other social channels.

It’s been almost a fortnight since I last managed to write a blog post - which is pretty much the longest the blog has gone without tending since last Spring.

I always like a challenge, whether it’s at work or in my spare time. This summer I’m cycling 56 miles and running my first marathon for charity.

TalkTalk’s upgrade to my broadband service and help when my router wouldn’t connect left much to be desired. Google to the rescue…

Ecyan.com and T6 Consultancy - a follow-up
Monday, January 15th, 2007 at 8:52 pm
In December 2005 I posted on my blog about a bad experience I had with ordering from an internet site called www.ecyan.com. I’ve since had a letter from a representative of one of the companies named in the comments to that post.

Blogging year one - 2006
Sunday, December 31st, 2006 at 9:58 pm
I’ve had my own website at www.simonwakeman.com since 2001. Until January 2006 it featured basic information about me and not a lot else. Over the past twelve months that’s definitely changed.

Happy Christmas wishes!
Wednesday, December 20th, 2006 at 5:47 pm
Judging by the traffic to my website and hits on my RSS feed, I’d say many of my usual readers are winding down for Christmas - and thankfully I’m no exception.

Five things meme
Friday, December 15th, 2006 at 11:59 am
Given there’s an end-of-term feeling around the office at the moment, I suppose it’d be OK to take five minutes out to respond to my tagging by Richard Millington.

Email marketing vs RSS marketing
Tuesday, November 7th, 2006 at 10:58 pm
After a good week or so completely offline I’m now back to find more than 800 emails in my inbox, and that’s after the junk filter has done its best. I also have more than 1,500 unread entries in my RSS reader.

Bad experience with my new digital SLR
Friday, June 16th, 2006 at 11:04 pm
A fortnight or so ago I got a brand new Nikon D50 digital SLR from the Jessops store in Bluewater. Returning from a week-long holiday today I was gutted to find that of 326 images I’d taken with the new kit, 151 were corrupted and can’t be read.

A presentation by Richard Reed from Innocent
Wednesday, October 19th, 2005 at 9:03 pm
Earlier this evening I went to a talk by Richard Reed, co-founder of “Innocent”:http://www.innocentdrinks.co.uk. Launched in 1998 Innocent sell fruit smoothies in the UK.
I go to this kind of business event fairly often, but I have to say Richard Reed was the most engaging, personable and inspiring speaker I’ve seen.
