Communications Services Manager (£35,633 to £38,939)

This role is an opportunity to join the management team of the dynamic and forward-looking communications team at East Sussex County Council. The Communications Services Manager will take responsibility for specific communications channels, products and standards – these will include our council magazine, social media and consultation portal.
The role is also about workflow/traffic management – planning and allocating specialist staff within the team to make sure that we have the right people available to deliver projects quickly and flexibly. The Communications Services Manager will also own business processes and policies within the team and provide financial/performance information for the service.

Communications Research Analyst (£26,555 to £28,684)

This role is crucial in developing an evidence-based approach to communications at the council. It will involve providing quantitative and qualitative evidence and analysis to support the development of communications and marketing campaigns as part of a cross-disciplinary communications project team.
The successful postholder will ensure that high quality communications evaluation and research is delivered and championed across the council.

Communications and Engagement Manager – Bexhill to Hastings Link Road project (2yr fixed term – £33,313 to £34,646)

This role is an opportunity to join the dynamic and forward-looking communications team at East Sussex County Council working on one of the council’s most high profile projects.
You will plan, coordinate and deliver communications and engagement activity for the Bexhill Hastings Link Road project (and associated initiatives) to facilitate the effective delivery of the project.
Managing a small team, you will act as communications lead for the project and champion best practice in communications and engagement. You will also work as part of the communications team to deliver other communications and engagement activities to protect and enhance the council’s reputation, as well as working with senior stakeholders to gain buy-in and endorsement to proposed communication and engagement approaches.
