    1. Great piece, but I would say Richard doesn’t go far enough. There’s an interesting point of view to consider which is: Should internal communicators go beyond “super networking” conversation leadership? So Simon’s “piece of information” or communication is no longer something to be packaged but instead is something the IC person can challenge, influence, help shape. To me, that is the exciting edge of professional communication as a strategic management discipline rather than a more limited functional specialism.
