One of the things I love about blogging is the opportunity to engage professionally with people I’d never otherwise have had the chance to.
Being a bit of a strategy freak as well I also like to be able to visualise intangible things through models or frameworks.
Gary’s slide is interesting as it attempts to identify some of the aspects of engagement through blogging – these are often overlooked by bloggers (and their statistics tools) that typically measure a small range of metrics.
The other reason it’s interesting is because Fedafi is developing a WordPress RSS plug-in that, among other things, will try to measure some engagement metrics from Gary’s model.
I haven’t had a chance to download and roadtest the plug-in yet, so I can’t comment on how it does this, but it’s certainly interesting to see someone developing an engagement model and a workable tool to measure it too.
