A couple of interesting opportunities hit my inbox this week, so I thought I’d share them here in case anyone finds them useful.
First up, Reading Borough Council is looking for a full-time Head of Communications, based in Reading. Full information is here.
Secondly Georgia Turner from Bournemouth Borough Council is looking for someone to undertake a communications audit from now until March 2011. The audit is to identify opportunities for:

• Financial efficiencies in council spend on print and online communications by identifying scope for rationalisation
• Better value for money through an improved focus on corporate priorities by centralising staffing and spend
• Strengthening the council’s reputation through better communications branding and quality control
