Chewing the new PR fat once again

Hello - welcome to my website.
On my blog I write about marketing, public relations and digital communications. To keep up-to-date with my posts you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or sign-up to receive blog posts by email.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you find my site useful.
I spent yesterday up in London once again at the Delivering the New PR 2.0 conference.
The day seemed to present a pretty good balance between exponents of new tools in PR and the pragmatists - I came away thinking about a few things differently and certainly built on my existing knowledge of social media.
It was good to catch up with Stuart, Ian, Andy, David and Neville (briefly!) as well as meeting a few new faces too.
My ever-ringing mobile phone stopped me meeting PR blogger Stephen Davies, although we’re both on the bill at the CIPR Northern Conference later this month so I’m sure we’ll meet properly then.
Two members of the marketing and PR team at Medway Council joined me at the conference and got a good grounding in how PR is changing and social media is having on impact on PR practice (without making all the “old” PR skills redundant).
If you’re looking for a good basic social media conference then you could do worse (and pay more) than heading along to the next instalment in the Delivering the New PR series.
Disclosure: Free place at the conference and pictures thanks to Andy and Nicky.
