London conference recommendations

Hello - welcome to my website.
On my blog I write about marketing, public relations and digital communications. To keep up-to-date with my posts you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or sign-up to receive blog posts by email.
Thanks for visiting and I hope you find my site useful.
A couple of forthcoming conferences in London have caught my eye recently:

I went to the last Delivering the new PR event in London late last year, and really enjoyed it.
Now the same team is back in London on 5 June with a follow-up conference focussing on how to create value through social media. With first-rate speakers such as Neville Hobson, Stuart Bruce and Tom Murphy this should be a good event with plenty of realistic and friendly advice on how organisations can make the most of social media.
I’m definitely heading to this one, and look forward to catching up with Neville, Stuart, Andy and Nicky who I met face to face at the last event, having got to know them through their blogs previously.

NMK Forum07 takes place on Wednesday, 13 June and promises a really strong line-up of digital media speakers from around the world, including Jason Calacanis and Dan Gillmor.
The forum promises delegates will be able to participate in debates on stage, online, on mobile and offline. It’ll be interesting to see what tools the guys will be using to facilitate these debates and take the forum beyond the traditional one-way conference model.
I’m not sure if I’ll be able to attend this one owing to work commitments, but if you’re a blogger you can get a 5% discount on the delegate rate by displaying the forum badge on your site.
If you’re planning on attending either of these events please do leave me a comment. It’d be great to connect with blog readers face to face once again.

Thanks for the NMK plug, Simon. It will be a great event!

I’m researching the feasibility of runing a public sector marketing forum. This would be a one and a half day event at a luxury hotel somewhere near to, but not in London. It would include some workshops/discussion sessions moderated by key figures from public sector marketing on issues pertinent to senior public sector marketers. Delegates would also attend a number of pre-arranged one to one meetings with suppliers, so they would ideally be attending the event because they were in the process of gathering information in order to make a purchasing decision. We would limit the number of delegates to 50 so as to facilitate interaction and discussion.
Does this sound like the kind of event a senior public sector marketer would attend?
If so, what, in your opinion, are the key issues facing public sector marketers?
I value your opinion.
