Upgrading to Wordpress 2.1.2

3 Mar 2007 at 7:38 pm

I’ve just upgraded the blog to run the latest version of Wordpress – v2.1.2 – which was released yesterday.

As usual with Wordpress a straightforward process, and assuming I manage to post this entry then a successful one too.

This release followed some security breaches and malicious code being introduced into the downloaded versions of the previous release, as Dougal explains:

If you recently installed version 2.1.1, you should upgrade to WordPress 2.1.2 immediately. There was a security breach on the server which housed the download archives, and some files in the 2.1.1 download were modified to include a serious security hole.

If you spot any glitches do drop me a line.
