What is social media?

Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoy my site.

Spannerworks has just published a handy new e-book covering the basics of social media.

Having had a quick flick through it looks like it’s pitched at just the right level for marketing and PR professionals who don’t know social media well. I’ll certainly be encouraging my colleagues at Medway Council to have a look, especially as we’re working on some exciting social media projects for later this year.

Blogger Antony Mayfield is Head of Content & Media at Spannerworks. Also spotted the guide thanks to the ever-reliable Simon Collister and Richard Bailey.

Interesting to see that the e-book was also covered by Steve Rubel, which undoubtedly would have given Spannerworks a nice traffic spike!
